There are some legal and ethical limits to confidentiality, including situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a child, vulnerable adult, or elder, or when records are required by law or court order.

 

Telehealth Privacy

Ryan provides counseling through secure telehealth services. You are responsible for choosing a private location for your session where you feel comfortable speaking openly.

 

Communication

Please avoid sending sensitive clinical information through standard email, text message, or website contact forms. These methods may not be fully secure.

If you contact Ryan through the website, phone, or email, only share basic information needed to request an appointment or ask a general question.

 

Use of Information

Your information may be used for scheduling, communication, billing, insurance verification, clinical documentation, and providing counseling services.

Ryan uses Headway for scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and secure telehealth access. When you schedule through Headway, your information is also subject to Headway’s privacy practices.

Clinical records are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards. You may request access to your records as allowed by law.
